Well, after a nearly 12 year span of non adam ownership, I have gotten
myself a new adam, Smartbasic, and cpm2.2. I'm remarkably interested
in making the adam my programming hobby. I'm a professional
programmer(on pcs), and want to (re)learn all I can about the Adam.
So my question to you all is this: What's the best materials to start
with.
Pointers to programming info?
what hardware add ons are a _must_? Etc.

About me: I'm 31, the programmer for the Daily Racing Form online, I've
been into computers since late 81 when I sat down in a Radio Shack
every day at lunch and after school and taught myself to program. I
have had, in succession:
A TRS-80(loaner), and apple][(loaner), then TADA: my first computer was
an Adam. I learned quite a bit about it, especially ML from
SmartBasic, but alas, that's mostly gone now. After my original Adam
busted and I couldn't get another one(easily), I drifted to the
Ataris, then in 86, I got an Amiga. I found a new coding home, and
developed commercial apps for it till about 92-93, started drifting
into PC land. Now I write Visual Basic, Java and Perl code for
a living(a good one, I'll bring the much joked about cash infusion
into the Adam community). I'm actually a little better rounded than
that, I play guitar, have a degree in the Russian language and enjoy
hiking and raquetball. I also colect all manner of old computers.
Especially old handhelds(Mattell) and Orphan systems like the Adam and
Aquarius(thank god I never had one of those!). Oh, and for those who
haven't found it yet, try http://www.ebay.com/aw Auction Web. They
often have old coleco and Adam stuff for sale(that's where I got my
CPM). Thanks, Will
